The Area
Salcombe is a bustling seaside town situated in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The area is well-known for its beautiful golden beaches, crystal-clear waters and Mediterranean climate, so it’s no wonder people return time and time again.
Even locals like us are still in awe of its beauty and ever-changing scenery.
Things to do in Salcombe
Whether you want to relax and recharge, or love to explore everything that the area has to offer, Salcombe has something for everyone.
There is no shortage of things to do in Salcombe for water sports lovers! Learn to sail with Salcombe Sailing School, explore the ria by stand-up paddle-board, or hire a boat and discover the many hidden coves and shorelines.
If you’re visiting for a bit of downtime, there are plenty of beaches to choose from, all just a 10 minute walk away from the guest suite. Head to North or South Sands, or catch the East Portlemouth Ferry and take your pick of Fisherman’s, Mill Bay or Sunny Cove!
There are also lots of fantastic restaurants and bars to test out during your stay, with many serving high-quality fresh local seafood.
Come rain or shine, there is always something to do in Salcombe. Catch up on a Netflix series in bed with fresh croissants from The Bakehouse, or pack up a picnic, lace up your walking boots and head out on the South West Coast Path.
