If you’re celebrating a special occasion, we recommend heading to Wild Artichokes in Kingsbridge for a truly special feast that you won’t forget.

If you fancy good pub grub with a local atmosphere head to The Fortescue Inn. Their fish pie is one of the best!

For the BEST bacon butty in the South Hams, pop over to The Salcombe Coffee Co.

Relax in the sun with an ice-cream from award-winning Salcombe Dairy Ice-Cream.

Unwind with a Salcombe Gin on their rooftop terrace bar, or go rum tasting at Devon Rum.

Don’t forget a visit to Cranch’s Sweet Shop – the oldest in Devon!

Homes & gardens

Take a walk out of town towards South Sands, where you’ll find the impressive Overbecks. Situated near Bolt Head, spend the day strolling around the tropical gardens and admiring all of the beautiful plants, whilst taking in the impressive view.

If you fancy venturing further afield, head to Greenway, the holiday home of Agatha Christie and the inspiration behind many of her novels.

If you’re looking for an active break, Salcombe is the place for you! Due to its waterfront location, it is the perfect place to learn a new watersport and enjoy the area from the water.

Whether that’s hopping aboard an estuary cruise, going on a stand-up paddleboard tour going sailing, or hiring a boat, there is plenty on offer.
